Several leading
broadcast execs will serve as presenters at the annual NAB Marconi Radio
Awards Dinner & Show. The award honors stations and air personalities for
excellence in radio broadcasting. Scheduled to present are Lincoln
Financial's Don Benson, Entercom's David Field, ABC Radio's Val Maki,
Hubbard Radio's Ginny Morris, Perry Broadcasting's Kevin Perry, Greater
Media's Heidi Raphael, NAB's David Rehr and The Cromwell Group's Bud

Former KGO Talk Host Bernie Ward Sentenced to 7 Years
Former KGO-AM/San
Francisco late-night talk host Bernie Ward has been sentenced to a litle
over seven years in prison, after federal prosecutors recommended a 9-year
sentence earlier this month. Ward plead guilty to distributing child
pornography in May.

Arbitron Board Announces Quarterly Cash Dividend
Arbitron's board of directors has approved a quarterly cash dividend of
$0.10 (ten cents) per common share ($0.40 per share on an annualized basis).
The dividend will be paid on or about October 1 to shareholders of record as
of the close of business on September 15. As of August 1, there were about
26.53 million shares outstanding.

Spanish Radio Association 'Disappointed' in PPM Service
The Spanish Radio
Association (SRA) issued a statement Wednesday expressing "disappointment"
to the recent response by Arbitron to its Hispanic measurement concerns
through a communication published on HispanicAd.com on August 19. SRA says
the ratings company's public response did not address its concerns or its
research questions.
