Kidd, Cook Out Over Racist Song
Active Rock WYSP-FM/Philadelphia morning host Kidd Chris (pictured) and PD John Cook are out after a guest on Kidd's morning show on March 21, Lady Gash, performed a racist song, entitled ''Schwoogies,'' that then aired several times later that day and again on March 24.

RAB: Combined Radio Revenues Down 1% in April
The Radio Advertising
Bureau (RAB) reported a 1% decline (versus a 1% gain) in combined radio
revenues in April, the best performance since August of last year. National
numbers were down 5% (vs. a 1% gain), while non-spot revenue continues its
upward movement with an 8% boost (versus 16% gain).

VP Andy Friedman Exits Clear Channel's Online Unit
Clear Channel VP/News Talk & Sports Andy Friedman for the company's Online
Music and Radio unit exits the radio giant after eight years. Friedman, who
was responsible for the company's web content and strategy, previously
served as News Director for WBBM-AM/Chicago. His previous stops include
KFI-AM/Los Angeles as Assistant News Director and KTAR-AM/Phoenix as News
Director.

Senate Resolution to Block FCC Ownership Changes Passes
The Senate voted
Thursday night to nullify the FCC's actions in December that loosened the
30-year-old broadcast/newspaper cross-ownership ban. The "resolution of
disapproval," introduced in April by Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-ND) (pictured),
passed during a voice vote.

Clear Channel inks
a deal with Texas Lotus Corp., a unit of Lotus Communications, to swap
Lotus-owned Classic Rock KZEP-FM (104.5) in radio giant's home market of San
Antonio for CC's Country KBKO-FM (96.5)/Bakersfield and Spanish Variety
KWID-FM (101.9)/Las Vegas.

Univision Q1 Revs Up 5.8%, Radio Unit Rises 2.9%
Univision posted a 5.8% gain in first quarter net revenue to $458.8 million
from $433.7 million in 2007. Revenue for the company's radio unit rose 2.9%
to $85.8 million from $83.4 million. The Spanish-language giant reported a
wider net loss of $166.2 million, up from $67 million in the year-ago
period.

McGavren Guild
Radio, a unit of Interep, signs with Radio Disney to provide ad sales
representation to the group's 42 childrens radio-formatted stations, which
currently draws about 5.3 million kids ages 6-14 and over 3 million moms
weekly.

Listener Sues WSKQ (La Mega 97.9)/New York Over Ad
A listener has filed suit against Spanish Broadcasting's Tropical WSKQ-FM
(La Mega 97.9)/New York after she thought she had won an "all-expenses paid"
trip to Mexico or the Caribbean. What was thought to be a contest where
callers correctly answered a trivia question to win a trip, turned out to be
commercial.

Veteran Programmer Don Hallett Exits Beasley/Las Vegas
After a little more
than a year with Beasley Broadcast Group in Las Vegas, veteran programmer
Don Hallett is out. He joined the group as PD of KSTJ-FM (Star 102.7)/Las
Vegas and later became PD of co-owned KKLZ-FM (Classic Hits 96.3). Before
joining Beasley in May, 2007, he previously served as PD at WMVX-FM (Mix
106.5)/Cleveland.

Rick Everett exits Clear Channel's cluster in Providence, where he served as
Program Director Hot AC WSNE-FM (Coast 93.3) and Oldies WWBB-FM (B101).
Prior to joining CC in March, 2006, he was Operations Manager/PD of
crosstown Country WCTK-FM (Cat Country 98.1). Previously, Everett programmed
Classic Rock WWRX-FM in Providence.

Willie B is
elevated to Program Director of Entercom's Variety Hits WNTR-FM (107.9 the
Track)/Indianapolis. Also heard as The Track's afternoon personality, he had

Veteran talk host Al
Rantel is returning to KABC-AM (Talkradio 790)/Los Angeles, beginning
Tuesday, May 27. He returns to his regular scheduled broadcasts weekdays at
11-11:45am and 7-10pm. Earlier this year, Rantel said he had a highly
treatable form of lymphoma. After four months of treatment, Rantel reports
that the lymphoma is in complete remission.

Cumulus officially names KFNC-FM (The Ticket 97.5 FM)/Houston interim PD
Dave Tepper as Program Director. He replaces John Madani. Concurrently,
Houston Chronicle columnist Jerome Solomon is out from afternoons and
is replaced by Carl Dukes from 3-5pm. Starting next week, KFNC will carry
ESPN Radio personality Scott Van Pelt's show from 2-3pm.
